Our Mission

LMIA Finder was created in January 2026 with a clear mission: to help international job seekers and Canadian employers navigate the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process with accurate, transparent, and up-to-date information.

We organize open government data from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Job Bank to show which employers have received LMIA approvals, which occupations are in demand, and where hiring is strongest across all Canadian provinces and territories.

What We Do

We aggregate official LMIA decision data from ESDC to show which Canadian employers have been approved to hire foreign workers — helping you identify legitimate opportunities.

Job Bank Integration

We integrate daily-updated Job Bank Canada listings filtered specifically for LMIA-related positions — showing only jobs where employers have requested or received labour market approval to hire internationally.

Our Data Sources

All data on LMIA Finder comes from official Government of Canada open data:

  • 1ESDC LMIA Decisions — Historical data on positive LMIA decisions issued to employers (2015–present)
  • 2Job Bank Monthly Files — Monthly snapshots of job postings advertised on Canada's National Job Bank

We do not create or modify government data. We present it in a searchable, user-friendly format and clearly disclose the source and date of all data shown.
