Tips & Important Notes

Super Visa alternative: If you are not selected in the PGP lottery, your parents can apply for a Super Visa allowing visits of up to 5 years at a time.

Income requirement: You must meet LICO+30% based on your total family size (including the persons you plan to sponsor) for each of the 3 most recent tax years.

Submit the interest form as early as possible during the intake period. The lottery is random, but having your form in ensures you are in the pool.

You are financially responsible for your parents/grandparents for 20 years. They cannot receive social assistance during this period.

Both parents can be sponsored simultaneously in the same application.
