LMIA Jobs for Europeans
European professionals from the EU, UK, and other European countries are increasingly seeking LMIA-backed opportunities in Canada. CETA and IEC programs provide additional pathways.
Eligibility
European citizens need a valid passport and an LMIA-backed job offer. Citizens of visa-exempt EU countries (e.g., France, Germany, UK, Netherlands) do not need a TRV. CETA may provide benefits for certain categories.
Visa & Work Permit Process
Apply online through IRCC. Citizens from visa-exempt countries may apply at the port of entry for certain permit types. Biometrics are required for most European nationalities. The process is generally straightforward with good documentation.
