How It Works
Since 2023, IRCC has been conducting category-based Express Entry draws that target specific groups of candidates. French-speaking candidates are one of the priority categories.
In these draws, IRCC invites candidates from the Express Entry pool who have strong French language skills (typically CLB 7+), regardless of their overall CRS ranking in the general pool.
This means a candidate with a CRS score of 410 could receive an ITA in a French draw, even though general draws might require 500+.
