Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Chicken farming. Goat farming. Hay farming. Outdoors. Dusty. Hot. Odours. Wet/damp. Livestock. All weather conditions. Dirty Work setting: Rural area Tasks: Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Track and report on current feed inventory. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
