Operate and feed a variety of machines. Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery. Push carts, trucks or cans of fibres from one work area to another. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Operate machine or manually fabricate leather products. Adjust cutting technique to type of fabric and style of garment. Adjust rotation and mixing action of vats according to state of pelts. Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards. Prepare solutions to clean, dehair, pickle, oil or tan hides and skins Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination.
