Machine Operator - Plastics Processing

Languages: French Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy Tasks: Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae. Monitor and inspect quality of material produced. Place weighed materials in mixing machines. Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die. Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products. Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change. Follow formulation card to mix resin batches for injection moulding process. Organize and maintain inventory. Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Hand-eye co-ordination.
