Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Millwork/pre-fab shopwork. Residential Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Working at heights training. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training
