Maintenance Carpenter

Salary: $38.50 to $40.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 5 years or more Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms.
