Commercial Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage. Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.. Instruct apprentices. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit
