Salary: $21.63 an hour

Job Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the Home Visiting Supervisor, Program Manager and/or Assistant Home Visiting Supervisor, the Home Visitor will provide ongoing intensive support services, primarily through home visits, to assigned families and/or pregnant women. Detailed Job Duties:-Establish trusting relationships with assigned families.-Encourage healthy lifestyle changes.-Promote & recruit families/prenatal women to the Kids First Program.-Link families to other community supports and services.-Strengthen parent-child relationships.-Provide practical support that enables families to meet their goals.-Transport families to appointments when necessary.-Help parents to develop a variety of skills including but not limited to, parenting, problem solving and life skills.-Assist families in dealing with circumstances that place them and their children at risk. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Knowledge and awareness of cultural values and practices within the community.
