Floor Covering Installer

Salary: $35.50 to $38.50 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment: Dusty Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
