ESTIMATORTASK DESCRIPTION - Evaluate cost of materials and/or labor - Prepare general cost estimates - Prepare second tier cost estimates - Estimate general expenses - Conduct business cases and provide cost estimates for proposed projects - Read and interpret plans, maps, drawings and specifications - Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) and other software systems - Evaluate costs prior to contract award â Follow quantity takeoff procedures - Implement monitoring and reporting processes - Prepare and maintain directories of suppliers and specialty trade contractors - Communicate and liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors and consult with them on changes and adjustments to cost estimates SKILLS AND APPLICATION CRITERIA - Ability to work in a team environment - Relevant experience in miscellaneous metal or structural steel drawings WE OFFER - Excellent working conditions - Group insurance, details provided upon request - Equipment and work sof
