Daycare Supervisor

Salary: $38.50 to $40.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment: Non-smoking. Air conditioned Work setting: Child care centre. Urban area Tasks: Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Maintain daycare equipment. Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers. Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest. Order supplies and equipment. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. Discuss progress and problems
