Nursery Labourer

Salary: $19.00 hourly

Languages: English Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Hot Work setting: Staff accommodation provided Tasks: Clean the crops. Cut horticultural crops. Greenhouse cleaning. Operate climate controls. Tie and secure plants. Write daily basic progress reports. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Pot and re-pot plants. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area Equipment and machinery experience: Garden tractors. Irrigation pumps and equipment Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
