Network Support Technician

Languages: English Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting: Telecommunications service provider. Internet Service Provider (ISP) Tasks: Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel overnight. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
