Heavy Equipment Operator

Salary: $35.00 to $37.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Dusty Work setting: Various locations Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation. Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
