The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) is a supra-municipal organization with jurisdiction over the territory of Québec located north of the 55th parallel. The KRG is currently seeking to recruit a professional and motivated candidate to work in Kuujjuaq, in the capacity of; Environment Specialist, Transportation: Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, Transportation, the Environment Specialist, Transportation will be working to ensure the compliance of environmental laws and regulations throughout the 14 airports and maritime infrastructures in Nunavik. More specifically, the Environmental Specialist will:. Provide assistance, expertise and training in environment in general for the 14airports and marinas. Provide guidance to Transportation Department employees when an accidental spilloccurs at one of the 14 airports or marinas and participate in the management of thedatabase of contaminated soils, accidental and historical spill events, ongoing andcompleted remediation projects.
