Dusty Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Repair. Overhaul. Machine set-up. Shopwork Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Supervise other workers. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
