One of the fastest growing architectural hardware and electronic security distributors in Canada. We are looking for a full-time Purchasing Agent to join the team at our Ottawa office. As Purchaser your tasks are to: Review demand and inventory positions in our ERP (Infor CloudSuite Distribution) and issue purchase orders on a regular cadence for an assigned scope of vendors and branches. Verify vendor acknowledgements to ensure pricing and quantities are correct. Monitor progress of deliveries. Contact clients, in-house sales staff, and suppliers to resolve problems. Help Accounts Payable resolve invoice and purchase-order discrepancies. Bring your ideas and questions — the people doing the work shape how we do it, and suggestions from the team get acted on Qualifications: Practical experience in purchasing is valued.
