Languages: French Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks: Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment. Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis. Operate sewing machines or sew by hand. Set in sleeves, pockets, collars and other garment pieces. Use sewing guides and tension devices Equipment and machinery experience: Button holer or button sewer. Double needle machine. Hemmer or blindstitcher. Industrial sewing machine. Multi-needle machine. Profile stitcher or pocket machine. Seamer, automatic. Serger or overlock. Single needle machine. Tacker or bartack Area of specialization: Sewing Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Manual dexterity.
