SUMMARY OF POSITION: A member of the Finance department reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities for financial statement preparation, reporting and reconciliation duties while ensuring a high level of service to the public and other Corporation staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise a team of 4 accounting team members including Senior/Intermediate Accountant, AP/AR Administrators. Direct management of accounts payable processes and inherent internal controls. Manage accounts payable processes to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner and that expenses are accurately recorded in the correct accounts/period. Ensure expedited response to vendor inquiries, maintenance of strong supplier relations and resolution of any concerns.
