JOB OVERVIEW: The Automotive Service technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing a wide range fleet vehicles. This licensed professional will oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, diagnose, perform repairs, and complete documentation. (This is an hourly position, not flat rate) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulics.. Complete annual CVIP inspections and certifications.. Proficient with hand and power tools.. Proficient with electronic components and computerized equipment.. Troubleshoot mechanical problems.. Maintain relationships with multiple vendors to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.. Travel and overnight trips to perform offsite
