Wastewater Treatment Operator

Salary: $30.00 to $32.50 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: French Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Confined spaces. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer Tasks: Operate filtration and clarification systems. Operate pumping systems. Read blueprints to determine work requirements. Perform security checks within plant and on grounds. Analyze test results and instrument readings. Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content. Collect waste and sewage samples. Complete and maintain plant logs and reports. Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment. Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment
