Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, the Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure that supports the health, safety, and quality of life of our community. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-Perform various duties relating to general and special repairs and maintenance of the water and wastewater systems including laying of water mains, including pipe laying and caulking, tapping and laying service connections, locating and repairing leaks in mains and connections, installing and repairing hydrants and valves, maintenance and repairing of pumps-Tapping, grading and laying of sewer pipes, repairing breaks, clearing blocked sewer mains, repairing and construction of manholes and catch basins-Assisting in unloading materials and making sure all materials are booked out with Stores and accounted for house connections and making sure that all materials are accounted for.-Assist and operate mechanical equipment.-Direct, supervise
