Medical Attendant - Patient Transfer

Location: Nanaimo, British Columbia

Salary: $22.50 to $42.14 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English or French Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work setting: Remote location. Rural area. Various locations. Hospital or home for the aged. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Nursing home/home for the aged. Public or community health centre. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution Tasks: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Transport patients between care facilities. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Administer first aid in emergency situations Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate
