The Material Handler is facility specific, and will organize and coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between and within departments using a fork truck as primary means of transportation. The Material Handler will report to the Materials Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Gains basic understanding of:. o Bills of Material. o Factories and Departments. o Basic departmental/company procedures. o Work/product flow. o Supplies locations and pallet repair. o Random Inventory. o Performs Fork Truck maintenance and inspection. o Knowledge of Basic HFA screens and functions. o Maintains clean and orderly department. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.. Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.. Computes amount of material requ
