Position Overview 1911 Gold Corporation is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Hoist Mechanic / Hoist Millwright to support the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and reliability of mine hoisting systems and associated mechanical equipment at the True North Mine in Bissett, Manitoba.The Hoist Mechanic / Hoist Millwright is responsible for ensuring hoist plants, conveyances, ropes, braking systems, safety devices, and supporting mechanical equipment are maintained in accordance with Manitoba's Operation of Mines Regulation (M.R. 212/2011), applicable standards, manufacturer requirements, engineering specifications, and company procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of shaft hoisting systems, safeguarding personnel and infrastructure, and supporting efficient underground mining operations.
