Hog Operation Supervisor

Languages: English Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Hog management. Noisy. Odours Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Perform general farm duties.
