Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work site environment: Non-smoking. Air conditioned Work setting: Urban area. Legal firm. Consulting firm Tasks: Advise clients on legal proceedings. Assemble documentary evidence in preparation for trial. Co-ordinate administrative services. Help in preparing and completing applications for simple joint and uncontested divorces, domestic contracts and name changes. Interview clients, witnesses and other related parties. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems. Administer oaths and take affidavits and depositions. Receive affidavits, declarations and affirmations. Represent clients in small claims court and in other lower court proceedings, at tribunals and before administrative bodies. Administer oaths.
