Notice of Employment Opportunity Utilities Operator ABOUT THE ROLE The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Utilities Operator with Water Services, based at the RDN Water Operations office in Parksville.The Utilities Operator contributes to the effective operation of the Water Services Department by contributing to the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the water, sewer, drainage, and streetlighting services controlled by the Regional District. This position supports the Water Services Department by assisting team members in their duties to meet service expectations, departmental goals, and objectives.QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications include a Post Secondary Diploma in water technology and/or water treatment plus 2 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful incumbent will have EOCP Certifications in Wastewater Collection I, Water Distribution II and Water Treatment I. Valid Class 5 BC D
