Job Summary: The primary duties of the candidate selected for the position will include installing and splicing mid-weight and heavy-weight conveyor belts at customers? sites including related work involving conveyor systems. Main responsabilities *:. Work in teams of 2 (typically) and assist in training apprentice technicians on installation and vulcanization techniques. Remove the existing belt and installing a new conveyor belt. Operating the companies belt winder. Make all the necessary conveyor adjustments (ie. Removing and reinstalling guarding, pully and roller adjustments, belt tracking). Perform hot and cold vulcanization and mechanical joints (at the customer sites and in the workshop). Perform other related work such as pulley lagging, rubber lining, cold and hot belt repairs. Communicate with customer representatives. Perform inspections of conveyors at customer sites and provide recommendations. Ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for and are in working order. Par
