Water Treatment Operator

Salary: $29.68 - $35.72

Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, Water & Wastewater Treatment, you will play a key role in operating and maintaining the Citys water and wastewater pump stations and treatment systems. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-Operate, maintain and repair all equipment at sewage pump stations, water pump stations and the wastewater treatment and disposal system.-Operate electronic SCADA & PLC control systems and co-operate with specialist technicians in the maintenance and repair of electronic and radio control systems.-Collect and document samples and conduct chemical analytical tests of water and wastewater.-Properly maintain internal quality control standards and report all questionable test results.-Routinely review test data for accuracy and regulatory compliance. QUALIFICATIONS:-Written and passed Saskatchewan Operator Certification Board exams for Level I Wastewater Treatment, Level I Water Distribution and Level I Wastewater Collection OR-Diploma for Water Resources Engineering Technolo
