What youll accomplish: -Provide supervision of Metallurgists and Metallurgical Technicians, and take ownership of the Lab-Provide leadership to the team, including performance feedback on tasks and objectives-Provide technical support/context to all Mill departments-Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination of personnel and resources -Fill in as point of contact when Technical Superintendent is not on site-Help co-ordinate activities, information, materials or resources to meet deadlines-Ensure cross-checks are completed as related to routine reporting-Review reports and trends of mill performance and reagent consumption-Attend operational and leadership meetings-Provide input to the budgeting process, including identification of infrastructure and training-Actively demonstrate a commitment to Safety and Environmental stewardship Qualifications and skills:-A degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering and eligible for registration as a P.
