POSITION SUMMARY: Can Ops is hiring 911/Fire Calltakers for its new Provincial Emergency Communication Centre (PECC) South in Regina, offering a unique opportunity to join the founding team of a state-of-the-art emergency communications facility. In this critical frontline role, employees serve as the first point of contact during emergencies, using strong communication, listening and decision-making skills to gather information, provide reassurance and help coordinate emergency responses. The PECC currently handles 911 calls and fire/rescue dispatch services for communities and more than 365 fire departments across Saskatchewan. As operations expand over time, successful candidates will have opportunities to develop new skills, contribute to the growth of the centre, and help shape the future of emergency communications in the province.
