Truck Trailer Service Technician

Salary: $38 - $48 DOE

Reconditions and repairs machinery and equipment assigned for repair by the Service Manager. Diagnose problems and plan methods in sequence of performing work required in a timely manner. Make sure all safety equipment is in order. Meet with customers to discuss the repair. This involves doing the actual walk around with the customer prior to repairs. Pinpoint problems by discussing equipment operation with customers, visually checking and listening to machinery in operation, and using testing equipment. Take defective units apart and repair or replace broken, worn-out or faulty parts, reassemble, adjust, lubricate and test repaired units. Performs basic diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required. Performs other related service work as requested by the Service Manager. Account for all detailed time and materials used. Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Technician comments must be input on appropriate work order segments to
