City of Courtenay Utilities Maintenance Operator I, II, III The City of Courtenay invites applications for the position of "Utilities Maintenance Operator? in the Utilities Division in the Operational Services Department. This is a union position and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the current Collective Agreement between the City and CUPE Local 556. Working as part of a cooperative team effort, and through the use of manual labour and powered equipment and tools, the Utilities Maintenance Operator constructs and/or installs, inspects, maintains, cleans and repairs various components of the City's water distribution, wastewater collection and storm water conveyance systems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalency Occupational Certificates, Licenses, Association Memberships: Possess current Certification from the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) as a Water Distribution System Operator - Level I and/or a Wastewater
