Pork Production Technician

Salary: $19.00 to $22.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

All weather conditions Work setting: Rural area. Remote location Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Maintain financial and production records. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records.
