Production Supervisor – Plastic Products Manufacturing

Languages: English Education: College/CEGEP Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Work setting: Plastic products manufacturers Tasks: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Transport raw materials, finished products and scrap materials through the plant. Start-up and shut-down systems. Perform ongoing machine adjustments.
