We are primarily looking for a lawyer with civil litigation experience. Depending on your experience, you will carry your own files, appear regularly before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench, and take matters from first client meeting through to resolution or trial. Having your own book of business is an asset. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of civil litigation files from intake through settlement, questioning, or trial. Appear before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench on applications, case conferences, questioning, and trials. Draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, applications, undertakings, and settlement documentation with precision and clarity.
