Building Maintenance Technician

Languages: English or French Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year Work site environment: All weather conditions Work setting: Office building. Commercial building Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants. Supervise other workers. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Phy
