Salary: $25.00 to $31.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: College/CEGEP Experience: Experience an asset Work setting: Veterinary clinic. Animal hospital Tasks: Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests. Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Produce diagnostic radiographs. Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. Counsel clients on animal health care. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Provide wound and bandage care Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician Area of specialization: Small animals. Emergency care Security and safety: Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail
