Building Maintenance Worker

Salary: $23.50 hourly

Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year Work setting: Health care institution, facility or clinic Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: First Aid Certificate Security and safety: Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability: Dependability.
