Confined spaces Work setting: Various locations Tasks: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment. Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment. Test equipment to locate transmission faults. Complete and maintain test and service reports. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Splice, join and connect wires. Repair or replace defective telephone equipment Equipment and machinery experience: Coaxial line. Fibre optics. Single line Security and safety: Bondable.
