JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the respective Division Head as Clinical Supervisor and the Head of the Local Department of Surgery, this role involves providing clinical medical services as part of the Clinical Assistant Program. Taking place in a variety of settings, the Clinical Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to providing surgical assistance, as well as pre- and post-operative care to hospitalized patients in conjunction with the attending physician. To ensure adequate surgical service coverage, the Clinical Assistant participates in an on-call rotation during statutory holidays, weekends, and evenings in which surgical inpatient services are provided. The Clinical Assistant is called upon to work in close collaboration with the members of the Department
