Pork Production Technician

Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work site environment: Hog and pig farming Work setting: Rural area Tasks: Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Maintain livestock performance records.
