About Us: Modern farrow to wean operation looking for farrowing and breeding technicians. Job Duties: Follow and enforce biosecurity protocols and animal welfare codes of practice. All aspects of breeding/raising pigs including processing piglets, moving sows, piglets and boars. Maintain health of the herd. Carry out feeding routine and provide water for the animals. Monitor herd health and properly handle and administer medications and vaccines as required. Pressure wash and ensure rooms are clean and sanitized. Maintain barn machinery and equipment. Ensure proper ventilation and manure management. Report any safety concerns to a supervisor. Maintain detailed records. Perform other duties as required Work Environment: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
