Senior Accountant

Salary: $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for collecting, calculating and entering data to maintain the company's accounting process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: General ledger account reconciliations in preparation of the financial statement workbook;. Accounts receivable deposits and collection inquiries;. Cash management of accounts payable payment runs and online transactions;. Maintaining current book balance spreadsheets on all company bank accounts;. Posting general ledger transactions into accounting software;. Monitor and control job cost entry posting of labour & equipment charges;. Assist staff with major project set up of controls, tracking, and invoicing formats as required;. Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) reporting, remittance and compliance;. T5018 subcontract payment annual reporting;. Maintaining documentation for internal audits;. Assist with the implementation of new projects and initiatives within the finance department
