Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting: Dental practice. Independently owned business Tasks: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Maintain and order supplies. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Perform intra-oral duties. Take and develop X-rays. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
