Mines and quarries Tasks: Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems. Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association Area of specialization: Mining and mining engineering Security and safety: Criminal record check Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer Personal suitability: Accurate.
